Sports Report: Girls Swimming Starts

Basketball and wrestling have already started play and this week girls swimming and diving teams across St. Charles County will hit the pool for the first time.

Here are some games to watch this week around St. Charles County. 

• Who: Francis Howell North vs. Lutheran North
• When/Where: 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 at St. Charles West
• Why the big deal?: The Francis Howell North boys are will be seeking their first win of the season at the St. Charles West Warriors Classic. The Knights will open the tourney with a tilt against Lutheran North. 

• Who: (Girls swimming) Duchesne vs. Incarnate Word Academy
• When/Where: 4 p.m. on Jan. 5 at UMSL
• Why the big deal?: Duchesne's swim team will start the season with a road match against Incarnate Word. 

Orchard Farm

• Who: (Girls basketball) Orchard Farm vs. Wright City
• When/Where: 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at Wright City
• Why the big deal?: The 2-1 Eagles are riding a two-game winning streak. Orchard Farm will try and keep things going with a road game against Wright City.

• Who: (Girls basketball) St. Charles vs. Francis Howell North
• When/Where: 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at Francis Howell North
• Why the big deal?: The Pirates get the GAC North season rolling with a tilt against Francis Howell North. St. Charles is already 4-0 on the young season. 

• Who: (Boys basketball) St. Charles West vs. Kirkwood
• When/Where: 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 at St. Charles West
• Why the big deal?: St. Charles West kicks off the St. Charles West Warrior Classic with a game against Kirkwood. The Warriors are 1-2 on the young season.
