The St. Charles West softball team continued its amazing post-season run on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors, seeded third, knocked off top-seeded Winfield 7-5 in the championship game of the Class 3 District 6 Tournament at Lindenwood University.
West (9-18) will face Trinity Catholic in a sectional contest on Wednesday.

The Warriors lost 18 of 24 regular-season games before catching fire in the post-season winning three successive contests. Winfield had beaten West 8-1 on Sept. 1.
Catcher Brianna Barry had three hits and drove in two runs for the winners. Kelsey Denker and Sara Berjer also drove in two runs each.

Pitcher Brooke Camenzind allowed just three earned runs in seven innings. She also had three hits.
