State Representatives Sworn in to 97th General Assembly

State Rep. Chrissy Sommer, District 65, was named vice chair of the House Appropriations Committee on general administration.

St. Charles-area state representatives were sworn into the 97th Missouri General Assembly on Wednesday and received their committee assignments.Β 

State Representative Chrissy Sommer, District-106, started her second term as a legislator and was named vice chair of the House Appropriations Committee on general administration.Β

State Representative Anne Zerr, District 65, is in her third term as a representative. She'll be serving as Chair of the Economic DevelopmentΒ committe, and a member ofΒ theΒ Administration and AccountsΒ committee and theΒ Tourism and Natural ResourcesΒ committee.

District 65 includes northeast St. Charles as well as unincorporated north St. Charles County along the Mississippi River and West Alton.Β

State Representative Mark Parkinson, District 105, started his third term as a representative. District 105 includes parts of St. Charles, St. Peters and unincorporated St. Charles County.Β 

State Representative Bill Otto, District 70, is a first-time legislator who represents a small portion of St. Charles along with parts of Hazelwood, Bridgeton, Maryland Heights and Chesterfield.Β 

Otto has been assigned to serve on the ethics committee.Β 

The 97th General Assembly is made up of 163 representatives and 34 senators. In the House, there are 56 first-term legislators.
