Veterans - Translate your Skills for Civilian Employment
There is an easy assessment that can help Veterans let Civilian employers know what they can do.
Getting my bachelor degree during my time in service was not easy to obtain – and I was in the Army National Guard! Every time I started school, I got deployed and in the end, it took me 16 years to receive my BS in Liberal Arts.
In all those years, I said to potential employers – I have skills that I learned through my military training and their response? Go be a cop or a security guard. Civilians never understood the other critical skills that I learned in my 14 years of service.
Does this sound familiar to you? If yes, then have I got great news for you!

The National Career Readiness Certificate assesses your ability to Locate Information, Apply Mathematics and Read and Comprehend. It levels the playing field and helps you communicate your skills to potential employers.
THIS IS A FREE ASSESSMENT given through the Missouri Career Center. It just takes about 3 hours of your time. Only 3 hours to help you tell potential employers that you learned more during your time in the military than how to shoot a gun.
