Here are the top three stories in St. Louis today:
- The City of St. Louis Forestry Division is removing 10,000 ash trees from city streets. The removal is an effort to prepare for the invasive emerald ash borer infestation. The division is using improved technology and data to decide which trees stay and which trees are getting the buzzsaw. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- SSM Health will be acquiring SLUCare Physician Group this summer. The acquisition will boost SSM Health's providers to 1,200 for the region. The organization is assuring patients that there will be no disruption in providers or service locations after the acquisition. (KSDK.com)
- St. Louis experienced a 2.8 magnitude earthquake Friday evening. The event prompted more than 3,000 calls to the emergency management agency. There is no report of any damage or injuries sustained due to the earthquake. The city is about 100 miles from the famous New Madrid Seismic Zone. (KJLU)
