2 New Coronavirus Deaths Announced For City Of St. Louis

The City of St. Louis Department of Health is reporting two new fatalities associated with COVID-19. That brings to City’s total to eight. The deceased included a female in her 50’s and a male in his 80s. The Department of Health has no plans to release additional information due to privacy laws.

“I offer my sincere condolences to the families and friends of the deceased,” says Dr. Fredrick Echols, director of health for the City of St. Louis. “It’s imperative that we take the stay at home orders and physical distancing measures serious. People are getting infected and some are dying, because people are not taking this situation seriously. We all have a responsibility to do the right thing. Lives are depending on it.”

As of 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2020, there were 21 pending COVID-19 test results approved by the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, 115 persons being monitored, and 358 positive cases in the City of St. Louis.
