1. St. Louis food trucks near approval to expand into Downtown, Midtown areas (firstalert4.com) — Food trucks are close to gaining access to new spots in Downtown, Downtown West, Midtown and along Cherokee Street, after St. Louis aldermen passed Board Bill 50. Once Mayor Cara Spencer signs it, residents will see more mobile dining options, while some operators still worry about lower downtown foot traffic and profitability.
2. St. Louis aldermen pass data center regulations (firstalert4.com) — New rules just approved by the St. Louis Board of Aldermen will tightly regulate where data centers can be built in the city, how noisy and hot they can be, and whether they get tax breaks. For St. Louis residents, this means future projects must meet tougher zoning, renewable energy and neighborhood impact standards, pending Mayor Cara Spencer's signature.
3. After South City street takeover, Miniature Museum faces big window replacements (kmov.com) — St. Louis' Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis in Bevo Mill is facing expensive replacement of two cracked front windows after a Sept. 6 street takeover and car fire nearby. As police seek more people of interest and officials push for safety upgrades on Gravois, neighbors are donating to help the nonprofit cover repairs beyond its insurance deductible.
4. St. Charles County PD holds blood drive to honor 9/11 victims, first responders (firstalert4.com) — St. Louis-area residents marked 9/11 by packing nearly 500,000 meals in Midtown for local families and by supporting a blood drive hosted by St. Charles County Police. The event drew many first responders and highlighted an urgent need for Type O‑positive blood, which supplies hospitals across the Midwest.
