This fall's calendar highlights free marquee attractions, a redesigned Steinberg-area destination, festivals in nearby suburbs, and detailed tips for visiting the Gateway Arch, City Museum, and local food neighborhoods without overspending.
   

2. 2 St. Louis City restaurants announce closures (firstalert4.com) — Two well-known St. Louis City restaurants are closing, with SOHA Bar and Grill in Clifton Heights set to shut its doors Sept. 30 and Thai spot Chao Baan in The Grove already closed. Woman says St. Louis funeral home mishandled father's body before funeral service (kmov.com) — A north St. Louis family says their father's body was badly mishandled before his funeral, one of several complaints now before Missouri's embalming and funeral board involving Serenity Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services. State filings describe alleged problems with body identification, storage, embalming records, and unlicensed work, while the funeral home denies wrongdoing and a disciplinary hearing on its Missouri license is still pending.
   

4. Ground stop at east coast airports cause flight delays, cancellations at St. Louis Lambert International Airport (kmov.com) — Travelers flying through St. Louis Lambert International on Monday faced roughly 120 delayed flights and several cancellations after an air-traffic power issue in Philadelphia rippled nationwide. Local passengers and a St. Louis travel agent describe long waits, missed connections, and lost luggage, while emphasizing the importance of working directly with airlines instead of making nonrefundable backup plans.
   

5. 'Food On The Move' program aims to bring fresh food to dozens of communities (kmov.com) — A St. Louis-based mobile grocery program is rolling into nearby communities this week, bringing fresh, healthy food to areas with limited store access. The St. Louis Area Foodbank's Food On The Move trailers operate like mini markets, visiting nearly three dozen Missouri and Illinois locations, including Ferguson, Desloge, Troy, Swansea, and Alton, with full schedules posted online for residents who need support.
