Group clears overgrown lots in north St. Louis, says CDA grant remains inaccessible (firstalert4.com) — Vacant lots in north St. Louis are being cleared by a local housing ministry leader and contractors, even as a long-promised $100,000 city grant remains out of reach. The group is relying on donations to fight blight, discourage illegal dumping, and prepare land for redevelopment while pressing City Hall to unlock the pledged funding.
2. Vandalism delays affordable housing project in North St. Louis (kmov.com) — An affordable housing project on Labadie Avenue in north St. Louis is stalled after repeated vandalism and lingering tornado damage left a $400,000 funding gap. The nonprofit developer and the city's Community Development Administration say they're working to secure more support so low- to moderate-income families can move into the long-vacant building, potentially by year's end.
3. Greater St. Louis, Inc. and 39 North Announce Formal Partnership to Grow St. Louis Region's Ag Innovation Community (greaterstlinc.com) — A new partnership between Greater St. Louis, Inc. and the 39 North AgTech Innovation District aims to cement the St. Louis region as a global agtech hub and attract more startups and jobs.
