After years of pushing, I was elated to finally vote in favor of a contract for body cameras. We’ve been asking for these for years. They will be beneficial to not only our officers, but they will also rebuild community trust,” said Reed.

The contract for BodyWorn Camera and Vehicle Video & Communication Systems is to support a total of 800 officers and 200 vehicles for 60 months to include all hardware, software licenses, data storage/retrieval, warranty, support, initial installation and training.
