Tom McDermott is one of New Orleans’ premiere piano players and composers - a modern day keeper of the city’s piano lineage.
Born in 1957 and raised right here in St. Louis, where he earned a Masters’ Degree in Music, wrote music journalism for the Globe Democrat, and soaked up the sounds of ragtime and traditional jazz that flourished here in the 1960s and 70s. In 1984, spurred by his love of James Booker, Professor Longhair and Dr. John, he moved to New Orleans, a trip enabled by a gig at the World’s Fair.
Tom’s tastes are eclectic - he’s just about the only New Orleans pianist to stretch from the mid-19th-century music of Louis Moreau Gottschalk to the funky New Orleans piano today. He has a great love of Brazilian music (17 trips there so far), the Beatles, European classical music, and early Duke Ellington. He has performed with New Orleans heroes Pete Fountain, Irma Thomas and Gatemouth Brown. He co-founded and arranged for the Grammy award-winning brass band, the New Orleans Nightcrawlers. His performances with The Dukes of Dixieland placed him in Carnegie Hall, Germany, Denmark, Peru, Japan, and much of America. His music has been praised by The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times. He has recorded 17 albums as a leader; these recordings include 85 original tunes. His music has been heard frequently on NPR, i.e. “All Things Considered”, “American Routes”, and “The Moth.” A group he co-led with clarinetist Evan Christopher, the Danza Quartet, appeared on NPR’s New Year’s Eve show “Toast of the Nation” on 2008-2009. Tom has written for the theatre (the Obie-award-winning off-Broadway show, “Nita and Zita”), and appeared in bit roles in the movies (“He Said She Said”). In the New Orleans-based HBO series “Treme,” he played himself five times in three seasons and had 10 pieces of music used on the soundtrack. Jake Shimabukuro is a world-renowned ukulele virtuoso whose groundbreaking artistry has redefined the instrument for the 21st century. Hailed as the “Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele,” Shimabukuro has captivated audiences across the globe with his masterful technique, innovative spirit, and deeply expressive performances that seamlessly blend elements of jazz, rock, classical, blues, folk, and traditional Hawaiian music.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Jake began playing the ukulele at age four, quickly developing a unique style that pushed the instrument far beyond its traditional boundaries. He first gained international recognition after his jaw-dropping rendition of George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” went viral, introducing millions to the ukulele’s untapped potential.
Over the course of his career, Shimabukuro has released numerous acclaimed albums, collaborated with an array of legendary artists—including Bette Midler, Yo-Yo Ma, Jimmy Buffett, Ziggy Marley, and Mick Fleetwood—and performed everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to the Hollywood Bowl and the Kennedy Center. His most recent projects showcase both his dazzling technical command and his growing focus on emotional storytelling through music.
Beyond the stage, Jake is a passionate advocate for music education and community outreach, frequently performing at schools and benefit concerts to inspire the next generation of musicians. Whether playing an intimate solo show or headlining with a full band, Shimabukuro continues to prove that the ukulele is an instrument of infinite possibilities—one that speaks a universal language of joy, connection, and hope.

Rita Wilson is a multi-talented musical artist, actress and producer. Her discography includes five studio albums, among them the star-studded, Rita Wilson Now &amp; Forever: Duets featuring icons Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Jackson Browne, Tim McGraw, Elvis Costello, Keith Urban, Leslie Odom Jr, Josh Groban, Vince Gill and Jimmie Allen. Her eclectic musicality includes collaborations such as “Til You’re Home” from A Man Called Otto with Latin GRAMMY winner Sebastián Yatra, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award. Wilson has worked with illustrious songwriters over the years including the legendary Diane Warren, Liz Rose (Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee), and Dan Wilson (Adele’s “Someone Like You”). Her live show has been performed on such iconic stages as Disney Concert Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, Sydney Opera House and a headline concert with The Nashville Symphony, plus festivals including Stagecoach and CMA Fest. Alvin Garrett is a Grammy-nominated songwriter, an independent recording artist, a bass guitarist, a successful entrepreneur, and a catalytic thought leader. In all of Garrett’s endeavors, there is an intersection of art, advocacy, and cultural awareness. With a masterful blend of soul, substance, and strategy, Garrett uses his talent and platform not only to entertain but to empower. Garrett’s trajectory as a songwriter began to point upwards in 2010 when he partnered with Awardwinning producer and songwriter, Fred Jerkins, III of Darkchild Gospel. With Jerkins, Garrett garnered a Grammy-nomination, Dove Award, and Stellar Award while writing songs for notable artists such as Deitrick Haddon, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Darwin Hobbs, Darlene McCoy, Alexis Spight, Lowell Pye &amp; more. Most recently, his song “Clap My Way” — recorded by gospel artist Micah Lee — earned a nomination for Song of the Year at the 2025 Stellar Awards. Lupita Infante Mariachi The critically adored Mexican-American singer-songwriter Lupita Infante is part of a new generation of musica mexicana artists, so deeply rooted in tradition that they possess the confidence and expertise to brilliantly reinvent it in the modern day. Her name is instantly recognizable to tens of millions of Mexicans as she is the granddaughter of Pedro Infante Cruz (1917–1957), one of the most beloved Mexican singers and actors of the 20th century.
Carrying her family’s legendary legacy forward, Lupita has earned numerous awards and accolades, including 2 GRAMMY® and 2 Latin GRAMMY® nominations, most recently being nominated for “Best Regional Song” at the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, standing out as the only female artist in the category. In addition, she has received the Mayor’s Excellence Award from her hometown of Downey, California, and was honored with the Latino Spirit Award from the California Latino Legislative Caucus.
In May of 2025, Lupita released her third official studio album, “La Corona es Mia.” Across 10 powerful tracks, Lupita cements her place as a leading force in Música Mexicana, claiming the crown that's rightfully hers. Additionally, in 2025, Lupita will be touring across the US and Mexico, opening for Música Mexicana legends such as Pepe Aguilar, Los Angeles Azules, and Mariachi Vargas, among others. Lupita’s presence on this tour is a powerful testament to her growing impact in the genre. Sharing the stage with icons like Pepe Aguilar, who is also part of a family dynasty, showcases a true generational blend of Musica Mexicana legacies. These shows bring recognition for an artist who is gracefully bridging the past and future of the genre.
Lupita studied Ethnomusicology at UCLA and joined the school's renowned Mariachi de Uclatlán, which is the oldest university mariachi in the United States with an over 50-year trajectory. Studying ethnomusicology gave Lupita the chance to rediscover Pedro Infante’s legacy through the works of academics: “I would write about Mexican music and research women in mariachi music, and study machismo in Mexican music and how that translated through my grandfather. I think that was a lot more interesting than if I had majored in vocal performance.” To pay her tuition, she worked as a Lyft driver. She graduated from UCLA in 2017. “I was driving for Lyft to be able to pay my bills. I knew I wasn’t the kind of person who was going to be stuck in an office, even though it meant sacrificing that security.”
Despite Lupita coming from an iconic lineage, she has overcome boundaries to achieve commercial and critical success within her career. As a 2x GRAMMY@ nominee, Lupita Infante is solidifying her place as a leading female face in Musica Mexicana, while simultaneously becoming one of the most critically adored Musica Mexicana artists of the new generation.
