- Police are investigating after a woman says her rental car was stolen during a carjacking in The Grove around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The 37-year-old victim says the incident occurred outside a bar near the intersection of Manchester and South Taylor Avenues, where she was returning to her vehicle when four male suspects pulled up next to her. The woman was not injured in the incident but says she did lose property that was inside the car when it was stolen. (KSDK.com)
- Hockey fans are invited to help the St. Louis Blues celebrate opening the regular season at home against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night. The Union Station Home Opener Rally will be held at the Purina Performance Plaza from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and promises plenty of free music and hockey fun for fans. Kid-friendly activities including a Blues inflatable, street hockey stations, and face-painting will also be available. (FOX 2 Now)
- The St. Louis County Library is hosting the St. Louis Storytelling Festival — one of the largest free storytelling events in the world — for the first time this year. This year's festival features a range of events across the region through Oct. 22, including a storytelling showcase tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the J. Mirowitz Performing Arts Center.
