City Wide Maintenance of St. Louis Welcomes New Ownership

Local Entrepreneurs Invest in Building Maintenance Management Company Serving the Greater St. Louis Market

City Wide, the nation’s premier management company in the building maintenance and janitorial services industry, announced today that the St. Louis office has new ownership with entrepreneurs Ken Miner and Howard Berkowtiz.

Previous owner Don Durham opened City Wide Maintenance of St. Louis in 2002 and operated it for 15 years before deciding to sell to Miner and Berkowitz, who have a combined 50 years of business experience. Durham will be staying on as an advisor to the new owners.

With City Wide, local building owners and property management companies have access to a single-source solution for all of their building maintenance needs. Miner and Berkowitz look forward to having a positive impact in the metro.

“Owning a business allows us to create jobs in the area, stimulate the economy, and ultimately, contribute to building a better St. Louis,” said Berkowitz. “City Wide has a strong reputation in the area, and we’re looking forward to joining the company in serving communities throughout St. Louis.”

City Wide has made a name for itself in major U.S. cities by streamlining commercial facilities and maintenance management of more than 20 services through a collection of independent contractors and vendor partners, including floor care, window washing, janitorial service and supplies, parking lot maintenance, and many others. City Wide eases the selection and management processes by utilizing a single point of contact for all services. This ensures a simplified approach for each client, while also maximizing the effectiveness of services.

“Businesses in St. Louis turn to City Wide because we take care of all their maintenance needs,” added Miner. “Both Howard and I have business backgrounds, so we understand how helpful it is to take the stress of building maintenance off business owners. We’re happy to be able to provide that service for companies big and small in the greater St. Louis area.”

Beyond the loyalty it builds with clients, City Wide plays an important role within the local economies it serves by putting business back into the community. Smaller, independent, and locally owned maintenance companies pair up with City Wide, benefitting from the professional performance City Wide brings to the table with its clients.
