ST. LOUIS, MO, September 29, 2026 &mdash; MS Bright Spots of Hope is presenting &ldquo;Many Steps Toward Hope&rdquo;, a day of fitness, wellness and connection, 10am &ndash; 2pm Saturday, October 10, 2026 at St. Louis University&rsquo;s Doisy College of Health Sciences, 3437 Caroline Mall, Ste 1026 in St. Louis.
The event features a discussion with Dr. Robert Motl, PhD, with the University of Illinois-Chicago&rsquo;s College of Applied Health Sciences. Dr. Motl will speak on Recent Advancements and Updates Regarding Exercise in People with MS. He is with the college&rsquo;s department of kinesiology and nutrition, and rehabilitation services.
Hands-on fitness stations, expert insights to use at home, inspiring stories and a provided lunch will be part of the event.

These are the &ldquo;bright spots&rdquo; that help people living with multiple sclerosis move forward with strength and hope.
About MS Bright Spots of Hope
Founded in 2016 by Michelle Keating, RN, MSCN-e, who has lived with MS since 1981, MS Bright Spots of Hope brings the Greater St. Louis MS community together through meaningful programs designed to support and connect people living with MS and those who care for them.
Through these free experiences, participants can share their stories, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships with people who truly understand the journey.
Our mission is to educate, empower, and inspire individuals living with MS and the people who support them through opportunities that promote wellness, learning, and community, including fitness &amp; wellness programs, educational events &amp; speakers, and social gatherings and community support. To launch a season whose over-arching theme is FIRE, the Chamber Chorus presents the first St. Louis performance of Sergey Taneyev’s “Prometheus,” the Greek titan who presented fire to mankind. While Taneyev completed his work more than a century ago, the Latvian maestro, Eriks Esenvalds has only just put the finishing touches to his latest commission for our singers. His settings of verse by the St. Louisan, Sara Teasdale, reflect his abiding fascination for her poetry, and they join an already sizeable collection of such choral settings. It will be a particular thrill for the singers to perform his music in the presence of the composer, as Esenvalds will be flying here from his home in Riga for the première. This new music will contrast with a series of Renaissance madrigals that use the metaphor of fire to convey the consuming passions of human relationships. In addition, the rarity of two ‘canzone’ by the Baroque master, Alessandro Scarlatti, is complemented by German ‘lieder’ from an Anglo-Czech prodigy of the 19th century, Agnes Tyrrell, whose compositions have only lately come to light. Thus, the Chamber Chorus stays true to its mission to promote the work of women composers and to champion both new and neglected music from composers around the globe.
The understated elegance of the modern sanctuary of Second Baptist Church in Richmond Heights, with its true acoustic and unimpeded sight lines, provides the ideal venue to inaugurate the 71st season of the Chamber Chorus, which makes it one of the nation’s longest-lived independent choirs.
