Coldwell Banker Gundaker Raises More Than $110,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (November 21, 2016) – Coldwell Banker Gundaker raised more than $110,000 at its 31st Annual Auction and Fundraising Celebration on Tuesday, October 25, to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis. Over the past 30 years, Coldwell Banker Gundaker has raised more than $2 million for RMHC.

“We are very proud to have supported the work and mission of RMHC of St. Louis for more than 30 years,” said Jim Dohr, president of Coldwell Banker Gundaker. “We recognize how important it is for families to have a place to call home and remain close by while their children are in the hospital.”

The event was held at The Purser Center at Logan University in Chesterfield, where the company’s independent sales associates, managers and employees gathered for a mid-morning start to several hours of live and silent auctions and raffle opportunities.

Raffles included a 50/50, a Money Tree, and more than 50 “My Favorite Things” themed gift baskets. The live auction was filled with items from the unusual to the luxurious, donated by local vendors, sales associates and staff from Coldwell Banker Gundaker offices. They included a “Bucket List” of fun and unexpected experiences, an Apple Watch, 12 premier tickets in a luxury suite at St. Louis Blues game, a Hometown Tourist package, and private plane transportation for two from St. Louis Spirit Airport in Chesterfield to Lambert’s Café in Sikeston.

Attendees also bid on condo vacation stays in Bonita Springs and Destin, Florida, areas that offer beautiful beaches, golf and world-class fishing. Another destination included a vacation stay in a gorgeous home on Captiva Island.

Dohr added, “This year’s event was a great success due to the very generous contributions of our sales associates and staff as well as sponsors and volunteers. I want to extend my sincere thanks to each of them for their hard work and participation in our annual fundraiser for RMHC. “
