Delta Dental Names Barone Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Jim Barone joins Delta Dental of Missouri's leadership team

Delta Dental of Missouri, the state’s dental benefits leader, announced that Jim Barone was named as the company’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. He succeeds Edward Pattarozzi, who retired at the end of March. Barone is responsible for sales, marketing, account management, charitable giving and product development. He also provides executive leadership for strategic goal setting, brand development and ongoing business plan metrics.

Barone joins Delta Dental of Missouri with more than 30 years of successful sales and marketing experience, most recently serving as senior vice president of business development and wholesale distribution for Ameritas® in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this role, he led a diverse national sales team selling in the group and individual distribution channels. Notably, he led Ameritas’ national expansion into the individual/Medicare Advantage/Medicare Supplemental senior marketplace for dental and vision benefit lines. Prior to his tenure at Ameritas, Barone served in executive leadership roles at Curtis Visual Communications, ARAG North America, Luxottica/EyeMed and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

Barone earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Toledo College of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati. Active in his communities, Barone was the Campaign Chairperson for the United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster counties, also serving as Chair for the Tocqueville Society. Previously, he served on several symphony boards, including the Lincoln Symphony, the Colorado Symphony and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Boards.

Barone resides in the Central West End area of St. Louis.
