'Jorts-wearing Bandit' Wanted In St. Louis County Walgreens Robberies

Contact us or the fashion police if you can identify, police said in a tweet. Jorts have been denigrated as a holdover of 90s men's fashion.

ST. LOUIS, MO — A "jorts-wearing bandit" is on the loose after robbing multiple St.Louis-area Walgreens stores, and anyone who sees the perpetrator is asked to call local authorities — or the "fashion police."

The suspect — donning jean shorts — approached a cashier with merchandise last week and overpowered her when she opened the cash drawer, police said in an advisory. He is accused of targeting at least three Walgreens stores.

St. Louis County Police dubbed the suspect the "jorts-wearing bandit" in a tweet, with a photo, posted Monday. The tweet says his "disregard for the law is as offensive as his disregard for fashion trends."
