Joy in Childhood Foundation Invites STL Kids to Enter Contest

The Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins brands, is inviting kids of all ages in St. Louis to enter its Starlight Design-a-Gown Contest. Now through February 20, contest entrants can visit Starlight.org/DDJoyContest to download, create and submit a design for the next Joy in Childhood Foundation custom Starlight Gown.

Starlight Gowns are high-quality, comfortable and brightly-colored gowns featuring creative designs that help kids feel empowered while undergoing treatment. Created with children in mind, these revolutionary gowns bring smiles to hospitalized children’s faces by transforming drab, uncomfortable and embarrassing hospital garments into fun and colorful gowns that kids love. Thousands of the new Joy in Childhood Foundation custom Starlight Gown will be distributed to hospitalized children nationwide.

The Joy in Childhood Foundation Design-a-Gown Contest is part of Starlight Children’s Foundation’s national Design-a-Gown Contest in search of new designs for its revolutionary line of Starlight Gowns.

The Design-A-Gown Contest offers two separate opportunities to win. Each entry is eligible for both opportunities. One winner will be selected by the Starlight Children’s Foundation and he/she will have the opportunity to have his/her design featured on a custom Starlight Gown. Another winner will be selected by the Joy in Childhood Foundation and have the opportunity for his/her design to be featured on a Joy in Childhood Foundation custom Starlight Gown. Contestants are eligible for both the #MyStarlightGown Contest and the #DDJOYContest. Starlight will select three finalists among eligible entries to be chosen as the Design-a-Gown winner. The public is invited to cast their vote for the #MyStarlightGown winning design from March 6, 2018 through March 20, 2018 by visiting Starlight.org. The Joy in Childhood Foundation will select three finalists among eligible entries to be chosen as the Joy in Childhood Foundation Design-a-Gown winner. In 2017, the Joy in Childhood Foundation made a three-year, $1.5 million commitment to Starlight Children’s Foundation in support of programs that bring joy to sick kids, including the Starlight Gown program. To date, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has delivered 10,000 of its custom Starlight Gowns to children’s hospitals nationwide.
