Locals Breathe for Lung Health, Sip Brews for a Cure

Unique yoga and beer event to support the American Lung Association

On November 6, yoga and beer lovers will gather at the Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis for the American Lung Association in Missouri’s first-ever LUNG FORCE Breathe & Brew event. It will include a 60-minute yoga class with Yoga Buzz and afterward all participants will celebrate with a pint of local beer.

“Yoga has been shown to benefit the body’s nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory systems,” said [LOCAL LEADERSHIP BOARD MEMBER NAME] and local leadership board member for the Lung Association in Missouri. “The practice has even been found to lessen the effects of lung diseases like asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).”

“Whether you're new to yoga, new to beer, new to both, or a seasoned pro, join us for a fun fundraiser to benefit the Lung Association and help everyone breathe a little better,” said Angie Wiseman, the executive director of the Lung Association in Missouri.

Following the Breathe & Brew event, participants will have the chance to register for the 10th annual Fight For Air Climb, which takes place on March 24th at the Metropolitan Square Building in St. Louis.

The cost of the event is $20, which includes the yoga class and one pint of beer.
