🌱 MetroLink Fully Operational + New FEMA Disaster Recovery Center
The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in St. Louis.

Hello, everybody. It's me, Helen Eckhard, your host of the St. Louis Daily — back in your inbox with all the most important things happening in town. Enjoy...
First, today's weather:
Mostly sunny. High: 84 Low: 65.
Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:
- MetroLink reports that all stations will be operational starting today. Some stations were offline due to shorted-out signals and flooding that covered tracks. Despite the positive outlook, the repairs were double the cost originally reported. The price increased due to necessary repairs of tracks, towers, and vehicles. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- Centene's quiet cuts for efficiency are placing the St. Louis office space market in an awkward position. The managed health care company is vacating several locations across the St. Louis region. The biggest vacancy is in Chesterfield with roughly 300,000 square feet being relinquished. The company will maintain its Clayton headquarters but has announced that it will no longer finish its expansion effort. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- FEMA has opened a third Disaster Recovery Center in the area. The new location is at 1025 County Club Road in St. Charles. It will be open between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. seven days a week. The centers are meant to provide support for St. Louis-area residents impacted by recent flooding incidents. (KMOV)
