Here are the top three stories today in St. Louis:

  1. A local firefighter will be honored during a national remembrance ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 5:30 p.m. St. Louis Fire Department's Firefighter Rodney L. Heard, Sr. died on Jun. 15, 2021 from COVID-19 complications. In total, six Missouri firefighters will be honored during the ceremony. Click here for the complete list of individuals being honored.   2. The Mizzou Football team will return to St. Louis next season. The team will be playing at The Dome at America's Center on Sept. 23 against Memphis. The last time Mizzou football played in St. Louis was in 2010 against Illinois. The return is part of a partnership between Mizzou Athletics and the St. Louis Sports Commission. (MU Tigers)
  3. Some St. Louis Public Schools are dismissing students earlier to accommodate the recent bus driver shortage. The new policy change will reportedly allow the district to restore some bus routes.
