Ride Sharing App for Boats to Set Sail this Memorial Day Weekend
Anchor, Peer-to-Pier Boat Charters, will Open at the Lake of the Ozarks

Summer’s almost here and a new, convenient, safe and affordable on-demand boat charter service will be all over the Lake of the Ozarks starting Memorial Day Weekend. Anchor provides short-term boat charters for groups of up to 12 people via its smartphone app—much like other ridesharing services on land, but Anchor is only for boats.
“We have been working towards this announcement for nearly a year” said Zach Hatraf, Founder and CEO of Anchor. “Much of that time has been spent on preparing our app, customizing never before seen insurance, and working with the Water Patrol and USCG. The app is nearly ready for what we think will be a very busy launch weekend.”
It’s been called the Uber for Boats and Hatraf started Anchor to increase boat safety at the Lake of the Ozarks. His interest grew out of a tragic event. A few years ago he lost a close friend to an accident on the water that he believes could have been avoided.

Because of this incident, Hatraf wants Anchor’s Drivers to be a big part of the company’s success and overall safety. Anchor now has a complete fleet of drivers ready to go. Currently, 55 drivers have passed Anchor’s thorough background check, which includes criminal record, motor vehicle report, and even in-person vessel inspections.
“It is important for Anchor Passengers to know we have looked into the people who will be onboard and responsible for their safety” said Hatraf. “We’re looking forward to a great weekend connecting Passengers and Drivers helping to make the holiday safe.”
