St. Louis Shooting Leaves 2 Police Officers Hurt

ST. LOUIS, MO — Two police officers were shot in St. Louis Friday afternoon and were hospitalized in stable condition.

The shooting happened on the city's north side, a police spokeswoman confirmed. One officer was shot in the leg, media reports said. Further details weren't immediately released, including information about the other officer's injury, or what led to the shooting.

Police spokeswoman Leah Freeman says the officers were taken to Barnes Jewish Hospital and more information will be released later Friday.
