Here are the top stories today in St. Louis:

1. A suspect has been charged a month after a St. Charles man was killed in St. Louis. Stanford Morris was found shot inside a car at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 25 and was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect was caught on surveillance cameras shooting the victim and has been charged with first-degree murder. (KMOV.com)
2. A St. Louis sheriff's deputy was indicted on second-degree murder charges in the shooting of a carjacking suspect in July 2020. The deputy, James Buchanan, 53, pursued William Wade Burgess III, 27, after he witnessed him try to hit two people and then crashed his car in a yard. Buchanan chased Burgess and shot him in a nearby alley, though he was unarmed. (STLtoday.com)
3. Q in the Lou, St. Louis' Premier BBQ Festival, is happening downtown this weekend, on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Riverfront Times)
