A spate of carjackings overnight left three people shot.

ST. LOUIS, MO — Two men and a woman were shot overnight Monday in two separate carjackings, the Post-Dispatch reports. The first occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a 34-year-old man confronted two men who had taken his red Chevrolet Impala earlier on Monday. He was shot in the shoulder and is in the hospital in stable condition, according to police. Officers followed the suspects but lost them near South Compton Ave. and Keokuk Street, they said.
A second carjacking happened around 11 p.m. in the 4400 block of Anderson Ave. when four men with t-shirts over their faces shot a 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, taking the man's green Chevrolet Lumina. Both victims are said to be in critical but stable condition. The carjackers fled in the Lumina and another silver vehicle.
