The Zonta Club of St. Charles announces “Yellow Rose Tea and Me” a morning of encouraging messages for women and school age girls featuring #1 bestselling author, Angela Sage Larsen, at a brunch Saturday, April 6th, 2013 from 10 am - noon at Old Hickory Golf Club, St. Peters.
“Never before have our girls and young women faced so many challenges to developing positive self-esteem. At Zonta, we are committed to providing positive role models and mentoring for girls and women of all ages. This event provides an opportunity for woman and school age girls to hear positive messages and enjoy the learning experience of attending a brunch with women committed to their success,” said Kelly Haskett, President of the Zonta Club of St. Charles.

“Our speaker, Angela Sage Larsen, was carefully chosen to reflect the uplifting message we believe is important,” said Event Committee Chair Renee Clark. “As a bestselling author who writes strong girl protagonists and positive messages, Ms. Larsen is uniquely qualified to speak to girls of all age levels on the topic ‘Strong Girls, Good Books: Be the Hero in Your Story.’ We look forward to the excitement the girls will experience having brunch with women focused solely on uplifting their spirits and self-worth.” After an inspiring and entertaining talk, the author will be signing books from her two series, Petalwink for young readers and Fifties Chix for tween and teen readers. A percentage of sales will benefit Zonta International.
The Yellow Rose Tea and Me event exemplifies the values and mission of Zonta International, namely dedication to the advancement of the status of women locally and internationally.
