Father Runs the Race of His Life To Cure Son's Diabetes

240 Pound St. Peters Businessman Determined to Race  In the GO! St. Louis Marathon And Raise Research Money to Cure His Son’s Diabetes

Rick Pogue – President of Arrowhead Building Supply, a St. Peters institution for over 16 years - is dusting off his running shoes, training on a regular basis and has pledged  to get fit for the April 6-7 weekend event.  Rick’s son – Sam – is 17 and was diagnosed with T1D (type 1 diabetes) at the age of eight.  Rick is raising money to help JDRF – the leading global charitable supporter of T1D research.

Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has raised more than $1.7 billion to fund the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating and prevent insulin-dependent diabetes.
