Award winning Mary Benners Victoria Rose is an antique reproduction of Bru June 15. There are only 150 of these dolls made, this one is 120. Hand painted on pale porcelain to capture the essence of the antique Bru doll.
No expense has been spared and only the highest quality materials and workmanship went into this high-end recreation of this doll which was originally created by Leon Casimir Bru in 1879. The doll has a leatherette body similar to the old antique Bru bodies and can be placed in a sitting or standing position. Standing on her tapestry covered stand, she measures 29 1/2 inches tall without the hat.
Victoria Rose has beautiful blue solid glass paperweight eyes and a high quality blond wig with long curls. Her gown is made of 100% silk dupioni with an overlay of fine embroidery lace netting and embellished with Venise lace, rosettes and beads.
A lovely picturesque hat made with the same fabrics as the gown and topped with ostrich feathers and a rhinestone brooch. She carries a cone shaped silk purse with a tiny doll and bear. She was created in 2005. I took these pictures off the internet. These dolls go for upwards of 2000 dollars and I am selling mine for 1,400 dollars obo. Thank you. CASH ONLY, NO SHIPPING, CASH ONLY
