Cedar Lake Cellars To Host Red Wine Pairing
Winery to have second "Wine and Dine" event.
Cedar Lake Cellars, a winery and event center, will host its second “Wine and Dine” event featuring the winery’s own red wines on Thurs., Oct. 2 from 7 to 10 p.m. for those 21 years of age and older. The wine pairing dinner series is held the first Thurs. of the month Oct. through Dec., and tickets are $70 per person per dinner. Cedar Lake Cellars is located at 11008 Schreckengast Rd. in Wright City, Mo.
The five-course October dinner features reserve California red wines, as well as Missouri native Norton and Cedar Lake Cellar’s own Icon chocolate port.
The first course includes smoked salmon and citrus jam stuffed brie en croute paired with a Cedar Lake Cellars Pinot Noir. The second course features fresh watercress with shaved manchengo, toasted almonds, wine-poached red beet paired with a Cedar Lake Cellars Merlot.

The third course is a roasted yellow tomato soup with crème fresh and toasted focaccia baguette paired with a Cedar Lake Cellar’s Zinfandel. The fourth course includes a rosemary laced and seared maple leaf duck breast with butternut squash puree and warm brussel sprout slaw paired with a Cedar Lake Cellar’s Norton. The fifth course features a Cedar Lake Cellar’s Icon Port with picked sun-dried cherries reduced and served over vanilla bean ice cream paired with a Cedar Lake Cellar’s Cabernet Sauvignon.
