Community Living, Inc. to Host 15th annual Legacy Ball
Tickets are available for the gala event which will raise funds to support CLI's work to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities

Community Living, Inc., will once again recognize the many positive contributions made by two local leaders whose dedicated efforts are benefiting individuals with disabilities across St. Charles County as the organization hosts its 15th annual Legacy Ball event. Set for Sunday, March 7 at the St. Charles Convention Center, the event will kick off at 6 p.m., and will feature a four-course wine dinner, oral and silent auctions, live music and the presentation of a pair of Legacy Awards and the Community Volunteer of the Year award. Proceeds from the ball, which is one of St. Charles Countyβs premier gala events, benefit over 900 individuals and their families that are served by Community Living.
Selected to receive Legacy Awards during the event are St. Charles leaders George Black and Mitch Hoffman. Black, a partner at Meyer Real Estate, has been committed to serving his community over the past 13 years. In addition to volunteering with Community Living , Black has been a board member with St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School and the St. Charles YMCA, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the St. Charles A+ program committee and the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. He is a current member of the St. Charles Sunrise Rotary Club, where he was a past president.
A graduate of Francis Howell North High School, Hoffman worked alongside his father, Bill, constructing commercial developments throughout St. Charles County. Together, Hoffman and his father were responsible for the construction of Community Livingβs administration building, located on St. Peters Howell Road, in early 2000. Following his fatherβs death in 2005, Hoffman and his wife purchased and renovated a home in St. Charles to make it accessible for individuals with disabilities. Today, the residence, is home to four gentleman. Years later, Hoffman partnered with George Black, who served as the realtor for the purchase of the residence, to establish a company called Hammer & Nail LLC. Since then, the pair has worked to renovate two additional homes to meet Community Livingβs ongoing need for accessible housing.
