SCC to Hold Open Auditions for "The Drowsy Chaperone"

St. Charles Community College's Center Stage Theatre is holding open auditions for the upcoming production of "The Drowsy Chaperone," a musical based on the book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar.

Director Lynne Snyder will hold vocal and acting auditions at 7 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, May 17-18, and dance auditions will be held at 6 p.m.Thursday, May 19, in the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts building theater on the SCC campus in Cottleville. Center Stage Theatre invites SCC students and community residents to audition. Parts are available for eight men and five women, including a very active chorus.

A script is on reserve in the library. Acting auditions will include reading from the script, and monologues are encouraged but not required. Vocal auditions require sheet music for a Broadway-style tune(16 bars) and those auditioning must be prepared to sing.
