Friday Night Spotlight: Football Moves Into Week 3 With Big Matchups
St. Peters' high schools are preparing for another week of football.
Week 3 is here.
Three St. Peters teams will be in action on Friday night, while a fourth will take the field on Saturday. Here's what's going down.
(1-1) at Francis Howell North (0-2) at 7 p.m.
Zumwalt East and Howell North are both coming off Week 2 losses heading into the third week of the football season.

The Lions fell 28-19 to St. Charles West its last time on the field. East had trouble putting points on the board against the Warriors and lost for the first time in 2011. The Lions will look to rebound in a non-conference tilt against Francis Howell North.
The Knights have started the season 0-2 and are coming off a 52-0 loss to Fort Zumwalt West.

Fort Zumwalt South and St. Charles West were both winners in Week 2. The Bulldogs pulled off a 10-point win against Washington while St. Charles West knocked off Fort Zumwalt East.
Zumwalt South is averaging nearly 30 points a game scored, but St. Charles West is averaging 31. If both offenses hold form, Friday night should be a high-scoring affair.

Lutheran High School of St. Charles County finally plays a home date for Week 3. The Cougars will take on St. Dominic in an AAA matchup.
The Crusaders are 2-0 and at the top of the AAA. The Cougars, 0-2, are at the bottom.

Francis Howell Central will be looking to rebound in Week 3 in a GAC South matchup with Holt.
The Spartans were throttled 64-0 by CBC in a Week 2 non-conference game. Holt also lost in Week 2, falling to Columbia-Hickman 30-7.
