Girl Scout STEM Program at Great Skate
Girl Scouts learn about Newton's Laws of Motion, Friction, Energy and how they relate to skating on Sunday, May 22 at 5:15pm.
Great Skate hosts a STEM Program for Girl Scouts
Sunday, May 22 from 5:15pm to 7:45pm.
Cost is $10 and includes: 2 1/2 hours of skating, skate rental, STEM Program to complete STEM Badge requirements, a Great skate STEM Patch, popcorn and a small drink.
STEM and Skating? How do they go together?
◾Learn about Newton's Laws of Motion:
◾What is in motion stays in motion
◾Mass, Accelleration and Force
◾For every action there is an equal reaction
◾How does stopping generate heat?
◾What is the science behind Crossovers?
While having fun, Girl Scouts in Daisy through Junior level scouts, will complete requirements for STEM related badges such as:
◾Daisy Firefly for skill building
◾Brownie Science and Technology
◾Junior Entertainment Technology
