Hispanic Scholarship Fund Helps Prepare, Plan, and Pay for College
Hispanic Scholarship Fund is the nation's leading Hispanic scholarship organization, awarding over $470 million in college scholarships.

Parents play a critical role in helping their children navigate the college application process and access the resources and support needed to excel in college and beyond.
The Ad Council and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) have a new public service advertising (PSA) campaign. The goal of the campaign is to give Hispanic parents access to the resources they need to help their children prepare, plan, and pay for college.
Created pro bono by The Vidal Partnership, these PSAs feature actor, writer and director Adam Rodriguez from CSI: Miami and Reckless, and actor and director Edward James Olmos, known for many roles, including Battlestar Galactica, in addition to Univision co-anchors Jorge Ramos and MarΓa Elena Salinas.

The new PSAs focus on parents, encouraging them to visit HSF.net to find information they need to guide their children through the application and enrollment processβand also to ensure that they have the financial resources needed to graduate.
Did you know that Hispanics account for 19% of all college students, ages 18-24? Thatβs a major increase, up from 12% in 2008. Whatβs more, 69% of Hispanic graduates are now going directly to college after graduating high school, a rate that is higher than that of the general population.

But the surge in Hispanic college-bound students presents a greater need for more information about college and financial support. As all parents that have college bound students can attest, navigating the application process can be daunting.
Parents are the support system that kids need to get to and through college, but parents need support and encouragement too. HSF provides many free resources for parents at http://hsf.net/en/resources/parents/.
