Makerspaces are workspaces where members can bring to life their practical, scientific, artistic and creative projects, experiment with STEAM concepts, or even prototype and launch a new business idea. Through the Makerspace, members share tools, sophisticated equipment and learning with other community members. Inventor Forge Makerspace serves as a creative ideas lab and creation space for any age (parent or guardian supervision for those under 18). This new makerspace provides access to tools and project work-space for members, conducts basic, intermediate and advanced technology classes, as well as hosting fun activities like multiplayer videogame parties and board game nights. One of the core values of the Inventor Forge is providing STEAM education for kids. The new space will provide room for education, as well as summer camps and classes through their partner, Bricks4Kidz. Inventor Forge is always looking for new members interested in STEAM or who just need a place to do a project.
βItβs a great community of makers weβve built in the St. Peters area over the last year and we want to share our experiences, tools and space with other makers within the community. We support learning, inspire creativity, and nurture opportunities for the next entrepreneur, inventor or artist to emerge,β says George Fetters, Maker and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Inventor Forge.
