Cherie Doyen accompanied by actor Rob Doyen will
be performing excerpts of her recently released novel Junebug.
In “Junebug” readers are given a look through the
eyes of a unique survivor of child abuse during her spiritual search for
understanding her chaotic experiences.
“Junebug” is
told through the eyes and voice of June. Readers gain an intimate look into her
observations and thoughts, as well as her need to understand why. She explores
creative solutions to dealing with and maneuvering through issues that other
people are uncomfortable
talking about. She leads readers through her
discovery of “a place of magic and
order, a place where things make sense.” Here,
she processes
her life and discovers she’s no
victim. She’s a survivor.
