MoDOT to Split Mid Rivers Mall Traffic at Route 94 on Aug. 12
Road split is part of the continuing project Route 364 Project.
Road work continues on Route 94 as part of the Route 364 project.Β
The project to extend Route 364 from west of Central School Road to Mid Rivers Mall Drive is expected to be finished in 2012. On Friday, Aug. 12, another phase of the project begins.Β
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and its contractor, Fred Weber, Inc., will split traffic lanes onΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive. The planned shift will occur between the morning and evening rush as long as Mother Nature plays nice.Β

Once the shift is complete, traffic on eastbound and westbound Route 94 heading to northboundΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive will have to use a temporary signal and the north outer road to get theΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive. The new temporary signal is just east of the newΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive bridge.Β
Access between southboundΒ MidΒ Rivers MallΒ Drive and Route 94 is not changed at this time.

Drivers on on Pitman Hill will need to use the south outer road, cross Route 94 at the temporary signal to the north outer road and follow the north outer road toΒ Mid RiversΒ MallΒ Drive.
During this traffic shift, the first signals north of Route 94 (near Mobil and the McDonalds) will only allow drivers to turn right into the businesses or right out of the entrance during this shift.Β Drivers can use next signal (by Home Depot and St. Louis Bread Company) to make all turns ontoΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive.
The shift isn't the last change on the road. MoDOT said drivers can expect further changes onΒ MidΒ RiversΒ MallΒ Drive in about two weeks.
