Rec-Plex Operating Under Summer Hours

Summer offically hasn't started, but don't tell that to the x.

The Rec-Plex facilities have switched to summer hours beginning—hours that remain in effect until Aug. 15, 2011.

Here is a list of normal Rec-Plex hours from now until Aug. 15:

• Recreational swimming: Monday-Friday, noon to 9 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 7 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
• Adult lap swimming (ages 16 and up): Monday-Friday, 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, noon-6 p.m.
• Leisure pool (July 11 to Aug. 5): Monday-Thursday, 5:30-7 a.m. (adult only water walking), 7-9 a.m. (twinges aqua aerobics class), 9 a.m.-noon (morning swim lessons), noon-4:15 p.m. (public swim- all ages), 4:15-6:30 p.m. (evening swim lessons), 6:30-9 p.m. (public swim- all ages); Friday, 9:30 a.m.-noon (adult only water walking), noon-9 p.m. (public swim – all ages); Saturday, 7 a.m.-noon (adult only water walking), noon-7 p.m. (public swim - all ages); Sunday, noon-6 p.m. (public swim – all ages)
• Family hot tub hours:  Monday-Friday, 4:30-6:30 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon, 4:30-6:30 p.m.; Sunday, 4:30-6 p.m.
• Public ice skating sessions, north ice arena: Monday, 9-11 a.m.,12:30-2 p.m.; Tuesday 12:30-2 p.m., 7:30-9 p.m.; Wednesday, 9-11 a.m.; Thursday, 12:30-2 p.m.; Friday, 9-11 a.m., 7-9 p.m.; Saturday, 12:30-3 p.m.; Sunday, 12:30-3 p.m.
• Fitness areas (cardio room, weight room and indoor track): Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
• Open gymnasium: Monday-Thursday, 5:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday, 5:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. (The Rec-Plex converts the open gym to Open Volleyball Play from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday mornings. Basketball is not available at this time.)
• Adult drop-in hockey, north ice arena (ages 18 and up): Tuesday, 9:15-10:45 p.m.; Wednesday, 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; Friday, 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; Sunday, 5:15-6:45 p.m.

These hours are subject to change because of special events and classes at the Rec-Plex and because of holidays.
