The St. Charles Community College Symphonic Orchestra is proud to present another amazing concert.
First, we have Vaughn-Williams' The Lark Ascending, with the very talented Jessical Platt on solo violin. Next we are honored to give the world premier of SCC's own, Aaron Hill's, new composition, Paintings: Three Vignettes for Orchestra. The composer will conduct the piece himself. Finally, we will come back after intermission and perform Beethoven's scenic, programmatic symphony, Symphony no. 6 in F Major, "The Pastoral."
After concert we will have punch and cake and there will be a gallery of paintings, the direct inspiration for Mr. Hill's composition. This event is free and suitable for all. We hope to see you in the front row. :)
