St. Peters Police Blotter: Woman Duped in Money-Transfer Scheme

The following are selected reports from the St. Peters Police Department. 

• Incident No. 23499: Domestic Assault, first block of Harvest Green Court. St. Peters Police officers responded to a disturbance between a male and female subject in the area. Upon their arrival, both parties claimed the other assaulted them after an evening of consuming alcoholic beverages. Neither party was willing to prosecute the other and medical attention was refused by both. The report was forwarded tp St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for possible charges.

• Incident No. 23526: Fraud, 600 block of Wyatt Drive. The victim sent a MoneyGram to an individual in Chicago for security deposit on an apartment in Illinois. The suspect starting asking for more money and refused to let her make an appointment to see the apartment in question. After some internet research the apartment website was linked to similar money scams. No suspects at this time.
