St. Peters Police Enforce Seat Belt Laws

City releases results from recent crackdown on seat belt use.

For two weeks the St. Peters Police Department joined a statewide effort to crack down on drivers not using seat belts.Β 

From May 23 to June 5 the St. Peters Police Department particpated in a β€œClick It or Ticket” mobilization to crack down on Missouri’s seat belt violations. Β The majority of the St. Peters Police Department enforcement campaign took place in neighborhood subdivisions.

During the enforcement effort, officers issued a total of 171 traffic citations including:

  • 35 Stop Sign Violations
  • 8 Signal Violations
  • 1 Fail to Yield Violation
  • 58 Speeding Violations
  • 47 Seat Belt Violations
  • 4 Uninsured Motorist Violations
  • 18 other moving and non-moving violations
  • 40 Warnings Issued for various violations
