The Daily Dose: The Columbus Day Edition

I remember Columbus Day of my freshman year of college.

One of my new good friends was from Illinois and informed me that Columbus Day wasn't just a day without mail. Instead, for them, it was  day without school. I always had school—just like the Fort Zumwalt kids. I was stunned at being deprived a day without class. 

Now, as an adult, I'm OK with it. My childhood of going to school on this day toughened me up and allowed me to be able to work today. I hope the same holds true for the rest of you.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming south between 4 and 7 mph. 

Tuesday night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. South wind around 6 mph.
