• Rep. Brad Christ Announces Bill to Put Missouri's License Plate Cameras Under State Law for the First Time (suntimesnews.com) — State Rep. Brad Christ announced in Sunset Hills that he'll push a bill to regulate license plate reader cameras, which already operate in Sunset Hills and nearby Crestwood and Fenton. His proposal would cap data retention at 30 days, ban commercial use, add penalties for misuse, and bar facial recognition integration. A Sunset Hills resident's mistaken stop in Kirkwood helped spur the effort.
   

• Dupo woman dies in St. Louis County crash - Republic-Times (republictimes.net) — A fatal overnight crash on I-270 in Sunset Hills left a 42-year-old Dupo, Illinois woman dead after her stalled pickup was struck by a semi and she was ejected. The collision happened just south of I-44, and she was taken by Kirkwood Fire & EMS to Mercy Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Authorities report she was not wearing a seat belt.
