An Educational Blast for Lindbergh District Area Kids
The Lindbergh School District recently announced it would host "Saturday Blast" classes focused on fun and educational subjects.

Looking for a fun and educational weekend activity for the kids? Lindbergh School District Activities recently announced that it would host new Saturday morning classes that allow kids to explore a variety of fun and educational subject areas.
The classes, dubbed Saturday Blast Classes, will be offered in different subjects. Some of the classes include robotics, gymnastics, architecture, problem solving, dissection, theater and art. There will also be classes called “Passport to Paris” and “African Safari.”
Sammye LaRose, who works with the Lindbergh District Activities group, said that this is the first year for the program.

“It is an expansion of our current after-school class programs that are offered at all elementary schools during the school year,” LaRose said. “It also follows the same format as our very successful summer enrichment program.”
LaRose said that the classes are all fee-based, but that the prices are reasonable. She noted that anyone is welcome to attend. The deadline for enrollment for this session is Nov. 2.

The new program is very similar to the Summer Enrichment program that’s offered in June, and the district intends to offer several more Saturday morning sessions throughout the year, LaRose said.
“Last school year students participated over 13,000 times in classes,” she said. “Obviously, this is a natural expansion. Students that attend private schools are welcome to attend as well.”
Classes will be held at on Musick Road.
