Clifford Awes Kids at Holiday Reading Festival
Character Plus and the Children's Illustrated Art Museum make the season merry and bright with a weekend art and reading festival at Crestwood Court.
Clifford the Big Red Dog and Ms. Frizzle of The Magic School Bus greeted families this weekend at 's Holiday Reading Festival.
Children got to explore a maze of larger-than-life scenes from popular children's books, ride on the magic school bus, color pictures of Ms. Frizzle and friends, meet Bruce Degen, author and illustrator of The Magic School Bus series, peruse books at the Scholastic book fair and admire art from fellow students in nearby school districts.
Character Plus, a local educational agency, curated the student art work, and the Children's Illustrated Art Museum built the magic school bus and all of the art work for the maze- a project that took more than four months to complete. Scholastic Books provided calendars with the illustration inspiration for the maze.
