Coldwell Banker Gundaker's South County Office Raises $5,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities(R) of St. Louis

St. Louis, MO (April 25, 2016) – Coldwell Banker Gundaker’s South County office enjoyed a night of great family fun at its annual “Night at the Mouse Races” on April 9 and raised $5,000 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities® of St. Louis.

The event took place in the St. Catherine LaBoure school gym at 9740 Sappington Rd., in St. Louis, where Chuck E. Cheese made an appearance. The mouse races began with attendees placing $2 bets on the mouse of their choice, similar to a horse race. The mice were called upon for games of Mouse Roulette. Players purchased playing cards. A mouse was placed in the center of the “roulette table,” actually playing cards in a circle. If the mouse touched a player’s corresponding card, that person won the pot.

“The mouse races are a really fun way to fundraise for such a worthy cause,” said Darby Seymour, South County office manager. “Family members of all ages enjoy the evening and coming together to support the community.”

For 30 years, Coldwell Banker Gundaker and its local offices have been hosting charity events to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. To date, the company has raised more than $2 million for this important cause. Each Ronald McDonald House location serves as a home-away-from-home for families with a seriously-ill child being treated at area hospitals, and provides support to organizations that serve the needs of children. Coldwell Banker Gundaker was recognized in 2013 with the NRT Humanitarian Award for its commitment to the community.
