Fourth Air Conditioner Stolen in Sunset Hills This Month
Thieves have taken more than $10,000 in air conditioners this month, according to Sunset Hills police reports.
A resident on the 9800 block of Sappington reported their air conditioner stolen on Aug. 17 at 1:03 p.m. It was valued at approximately $1,800.
It is the fourth home to report a missing air conditioner within the last month. The first two thefts occurred Aug. 1.
A representative with the department said thieves are targeting homes that are for sale or temporarily unoccupied. They encourage residents who will be out of town have a neighbor or family member check on your home in your absence.
