Gravois Township: John Winston, Jennifer Bird to Represent Republican Party

Democrats supported incumbent Michael Vogt. The St. Louis County Board of Elections should have write-ins for a Democratic committeewoman and Constitution candidates verified next week.

Three of Gravois Township’s possible eight nominations for committee members were determined in Tuesday's primary. Three write-in candidates are currently being tallied, according to the St. Louis County Board of Elections.

Roughly 300 votes determined the nominations for Republican committee members. Current Republican committeeman John Winston retained the majority of his party's support. Jennifer Bird defeated incumbent Katy Forand.

Democratic committeeman Michael Vogt, who also serves the Affton community as 66th District U.S. Representative, received the bulk of his party's support. Eighty-eight votes were placed for a write-in committeewoman, who has not been announced by the election board.

A single write-in vote each will determine the Constitution party’s members. No nominations were made for the Libertarian party.

A representative with the St. Louis County Board of Elections said write-in candidates for all positions should be counted and verified next week.
