Missouri Political Candidate David Gregory Names Michael Scott as Campaign Manager

JANUARY 8, 2016, St. Louis, Missouri… David Gregory, an attorney and lifelong resident of south St. Louis County who is running for Missouri state representative in District 96 as a conservative Republican has named Michael Scott as Campaign Manager.

“Mike is a St. Louis native who has worked with the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., and served many Republican causes as a volunteer,” Gregory said. “Mike brings smart thinking, strategic insight, energy and enthusiasm to our campaign as we work to bring our conservative values to Jefferson City.”

Mike Scott earned a B.A. double major from the University of Iowa (International and Intercultural Communication and Russian, Central European, East European and Eurasian Studies) and then earned a Masters in Global Media Communications from the University of Melbourne in Australia, where he worked on political campaigns. He has served as “war room intern” with the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C., and also served as a campaign volunteer with the Missouri Republican Party. His skills include digital media expertise, campaign polling, video production, events planning, fund raising and media relations. An experienced world traveler, Scott speaks German, Spanish and Russian languages.

David Gregory is attracting widespread Republican support since announcing his plans to run for Missouri state representative in District 96 for the seat held by Representative Mike Leara (R), who will term-out in 2016.

Gregory is a conservative Republican who earned a degree in accounting, a Masters of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctor (JD) from Saint Louis University. Gregory is attracting strong support for his energetic ideas and attacks on legislators who are more loyal to special interest groups and big-dollar contributors than to voters.

“Missouri needs more energetic and committed Republican legislators who will deliver on their promises,” Gregory said. “We need more legislators with the skills necessary to implement effective budgeting and spending strategies. I am running for State Representative because I have those commitments and I have those skills and I want to take them to Jefferson City,” Gregory said.

Gregory has been profiled in St. Louis Lawyer Magazine and in other publications for his legal expertise, community volunteerism and his work as assistant coach of the St. Louis Amateur Blues AAA youth hockey team. In addition, he coaches a team for The St. Louis Challengers, a baseball league for kids and adults with developmental disabilities.

Gregory is currently Vice President of the Tesson Ferry Township Republican Club and member of the club’s Executive Board.
