Operation Wild Lands Honeysuckle Hack at Tilles Park
Volunteers needed to help beautify Tilles Park September 19th from 9am-12pm
Join us & volunteer to assist with stewarding the natural environment on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 9am- 12 noon. Volunteers will help remove invasive bush honeysuckle roots near the lake in Tilles Park. Your assistance will enable our team to plant natives in this area, enhancing wildlife habitats and creating a healthier environment for all.
The entrance to Tilles Park is at the corner of Litzinger and Rock Hill Rd. Once you enter the park, stay to the right and head back to the service buildings northwest of the lake. Park there and walk around the building. Volunteers can also park near the lake and walk across the dam to the planting area.
We will provide necessary tools, gloves, snacks, and water for this event. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Ages 15+ are invited to join us; youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers can register to attend via our Eventbrite site.
